Rachel Dunscombe appointed to openEHR International Board

We are pleased to announce that Rachel Dunscombe has joined the openEHR International Board as a non-paid Director.

Rachel brings a wealth of experience within digital health education, and is an advocate for EHR usability and best practice both in the UK and globally. She believes that improvements to patient care and efficient working practices for health professionals can be made with safe, accessible digital health.

Rachel said “I am delighted to be joining the openEHR International board and continuing the work to develop open standards for healthcare data. This is the fundamental building block for the future of AI, health and care and the global standards represented by openEHR International provide a common future-proofed standard.”

Rachel is CEO of the NHS Digital Academy and previously has been Director of Digital / CIO at Salford NCA NHS Group and holds a number of governmental advisory roles.

She has a passion for improving health and care, and we very much look forward to her being part of the Board where her knowledge, experience and passion will bring much to the continued growth of openEHR.
