New openEHR Ambassador for China

The openEHR Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Prof. Huilong Duan as openEHR Ambassador to China.
 
Prof. Duan is former Dean, Professor of College of Biomedical Engineering & Instrument Science of Zhejiang University. He is a Member of Subject Assessing Group of Academic Degree Committee affiliated with State Council, Executive Director of Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, Vice President of Chinese Digital Medicine and Medical Information Professional Committee, President of Medical Software Branch of Chinese Association for Medical Devices Industry. 
 
His research interests focus on Medical Information System and Clinical Decision Support. 
 
Prof. Duan will be assisted in this role by Prof. Xudong Lu, currently professor in College of Biomedical Engineering & Instrumentation of Zhejiang University. 
 
His main research interests include electronic health records, clinical decision support and data mining in medicine. His recent work has been a case study of modelling a Chinese EHR using an open data platform based on openEHR archetypes.
