Searching for assets using Sub-domain and Project functionality

Subdomains and Projects have been created to provide an alternative way of finding assets in CKM. A Project is a logical way to group similar assets together and allows a group of people to be involved in the development process of archetypes, templates and termsets which are owned or referenced by a Project.

There are a number of ways to search for assets using Subdomain and Project functionality which include:

  • Search using Project Accordion
  • Search using All Resources Sub-domain and Project filters
  • Search using Preferred View
  • Search using Find Resources
  • Search using Projects Menu.

Search using Project Accordion

Steps:

  1. Select the Project accordion from the left hand panel  
  2. From the Projects tree, select the appropriate Subdomain (i.e. folder) to expand the list of projects associated with the subdomain
  3. Double click on the relevant Project
  4. View Project in main viewing pane.

Search using All Resources Sub-domain and Project filters

* *Steps:

  1. Search using the Subdomain and/or Project or Incubator drop down menus to display resources under the appropriate class
  2. Select the resource to display: i.e. archetype, template, termset
  3. Find the resource by searching the appropriate classes using the menu tree.
  4. Double click the appropriate resource; it will display in the tabbed view. 

Search using Preferred View

Steps:

  1. From the All Resources accordion in the left hand panel, select the appropriate Subdomain and/or Project by clicking on the Subdomain and/or Project drop-down menu and selecting the appropriate subdomain and/or project you want to filter by;
  2. Select the radio button corresponding to either: All active, Under Review or Published;
  3. Select the Set as preferred view button; and
  4. Access the Preferred View by selecting the Preferred View accordion.

Search using Find Resources

Steps:

  1. From the Find Resources Tab in CKM, select the Project tab
  2. Select the desired Subdomain and/or Project from the Subdomain and Project drop down menus. Note – selecting a subdomain will limit the projects that are available within the selected subdomain
  3. Select appropriate search limiters in the fields below the Subdomain and Project drop down menus.
  4. Select Find Resources to display the results of the search.

Search using Projects Menu

Steps:

  1. Select Projects from the main menu
  2. Select Open Project
  3. From the Open Project drop-down, select the desired Project. The Project will display in tabbed view.
