October 2007 - new website & wiki
October 2007
Life in openEHR is somewhat seasonal and now is definitely Spring time. So we’re releasing, today, the first stage of a completely spring-cleaned and redesigned web site. This is now equipped with wiki facilities, to help our dynamic, expanding and highly engaged user communities.
Many thanks to Helma van der Linden (Maastricht University) who built the initial website, Thomas Beale (Ocean Informatics), and staff from CHIME, in particular Anthony Peacock who has provided excellent system administration support.
I hope you will enjoy this revitalised web presence and feel encouraged to continue with us in the great journey of openEHR. As a Foundation, we serve three principal wider goals: discipline and rigour appropriate to the job at hand, engagement with and enablement of clinical professional communities, and an open and collaborative approach to the global challenge of the EHR. Our hope is that this wider mission of openEHR will help engender trust and a sense of personal ownership of records within patient communities.
openEHR has reached a level of accomplishment and relevance which is now taken seriously, everywhere. It is our challenge, now, to work along many different pathways to take forward trading, education, research and governance for a self-sustaining future mission, that will truly take openEHR to the heart of the World’s Record.
Look for more announcements, soon, about our future organisation, as we scale up, with new partnerships, to meet the challenges ahead.
