[Oship] GSoC 2009 Results
Hi All, Apologies that some of you may receive multiple copies of this email. I am sorry to say that we were not selected this year. I also sorry to see that there are NO healthcare related apps on the list. <sarcasm> From looking at the list of accepted applications; wikis and content management systems are more important to the GSoC team than health care applications. </sarcasm> on the VERY positive side of things, we have had a number of people join the project stating upfront that they were interested with or without GSoC. The publicity and these new dedicated members are well worth the effort to go through the application process. I believe that most of the mentors will stick around as well. I feel like that we are really moving forward. The INCT-MACC project is attracting a lot of attention as well. We have some great new members from this project that will eventually create an epidemiological decision support system as an application running on OSHIP. I look forward to working with all of you over the coming months/years? :-) Please join in the discussions on oship-dev@lists.launchpad.net and present your ideas as well. If you want to work on a specific application then let's discuss it and develop a Blueprint for it. Anyone on these various lists that I am contacting that wants to work on OSHIP but hasn't registered with Launchpad and joined the Oship-dev team then please do so. I would like for us to focus on one mailing list unless a specific team gets so big and busy that it warrants a separate list.
