CKM update and call for more Demographic archetype reviewers

EHR archetype reviews:

Don't underestimate the significance of agreeing the Top 10 - effectively they are probably the most difficult archetypes that we will ever have to work on, with many opinions, standards and reporting requirements needing to be taken into account. Subsequently after fantastic feedback from initial review rounds for Heart rate, Problem and Adverse Reaction we are needing to reconsider our initial approach and work is happening behind the scenes to redevelop these.  Once we have completed these, the rest will be relatively easy methinks!

We anticipate that there will be some information posted on the CKM wiki in the next couple of days regarding a wholistic approach to the problem/diagnosis 'ecosystem' of archetypes, which has to take into account various recording approaches by HL7, ContSys etc to try to keep all these aligned as much as possible.  You will receive an email alerting you to this and we are seeking your input and feedback. Reworking of the archetypes themselves will be dependent on this wiki feedback and will trigger the next review round.

Similarly feedback from the Adverse Event archetype review has triggered a lot of research into the whole area of adverse reporting standards, alerts and warnings - not a simple area.  We hope to post a proposed approach to this shortly as well.

Recently we have commenced reviewing the ECG recording and Glasgow Coma Scale archetypes.

Demographic archetype reviews:

Our current complement of Demographic archetypes have been developed with a huge volunteer effort by Rigoleta Dutra & Sergio Miranda Freire from Brazil, and based on the current ISO standards - many thanks to Rigoleta and Sergio.

However, while we have received a huge positive response to review of the EHR archetypes, unfortunately this has not been mirrored in the review of the Demographic archetypes. I know that there has been a lot of demand for the Demographic archetypes shown in the email lists in the recent past, but please be aware that the rate limiting step for publication of these archetypes is participation in reviews by developers, vendors and implementers.

If you can participate in the Demographic archetype reviews please register and adopt the Person Name and Address demographic archetypes currently under review or any others you feel you have expertise in. Alternatively let me know directly by email, and I will make sure that you are included in the next review rounds. Many thanks in anticipation of an overwhelming response - let's get these archetypes published and in use.
