openEHR has always been a 'company' in the legal sense - it is the standard legal structure for Foundations of its kind in the UK. It can't make a profit, and does not exist to do so. It has operated the same way for 10 years. Nothing has changed in that.

The debate last year for the license for archetypes has nearly resolved to one of the creative commons licenses, CC-BY or CC-BY-SA. This discussion needs to be finalised, and the resulting choice will be the license of all archetypes on openEHR.org. I can't imagine how that poses an IP problem.
