[openEHR-announce] Disruption to openEHR online services this weekend -

There will be disruption to the openEHR online services from 17:30GMT today (16th Jan 2009) until late Saturday evening, this is due to essential works to the electrical supply to the building which hosts the openEHR services. This work will replace the ancient electrical distribution equipment which handles the distribution of the main electrical supply from our supplier.

The services will be shut down normally by the UPS when the power is cut off and all services should return normally on resumption of power. I will monitor the services and will be able to intervene on Sunday if there are any problems with services restarting.

I apologise for any inconvenience this will cause.

Further works are planned this weekend in the project to replace the incoming mains electricity supply in Holborn Union Building. There will be a power outage commencing on Friday 16 January at 18:00hrs. The areas affected will therefore have to be vacated by 17:30hrs.

Areas affected are:
Holborn Union Building - both lifts, the basement link corridor to Charterhouse Building, the Social Space and all of level 4 (ACME & CHIME) Holborn Union Annex (F Block) - CETL Offices, Dept. of Mental Health Sciences.
All of Charterhouse Building.
Archway Sexual Health Clinic.
Clerkenwell Annex (Archway Clinic of Herbal Medicine, Asantè Academy of Chinese Medicine and CETL Offices)

The electricity supply would be reinstated in stages on Saturday 17th and completed by Saturday evening. There will be no access to the affected areas for the duration of the works.

There will be one further shutdown for a short (1 hour) period, likely to be carried out outside of core hours, sometime in the near future. This shutdown was not planned, but is nevertheless essential corrective works by EDF energy. I will contact you with details once I have received notification from EDF.

Regards
