To all whom it may concern,

Network hardware at the Archway campus has reached End-of-Life (EOL) and
an immediate upgrade is required. The proposed date for the upgrade is
**WEDNESDAY 2nd JULY** There will be an 'at-risk' for the entire Archway
Campus (including Whittington) between 0800am - 0900am and further
outages throughout the day for the following departmental Networks:

* Former Dr's Residence - 128.40.204.0 255.255.255.0
* Primary Health Care - 128.40.188.0 255.255.255.0
* Bursars - 128.40.23.160 255.255.255.224
* Division of Medicine - 128.40.239.0 255.255.255.0
* Cluster 11 - Furnival Building - 128.40.190.32 255.255.255.224
* Physiology - Staples Building - 128.40.186.32 255.255.255.224
* CHIME - 128.40.182.0 255.255.255.0
* RoamNet

Each departmental upgrade is expected to take between 1-2 hours during
which there will be NO Network Connectivity (e.g. Internet, email, WTS)
for the department.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the Archway Campus (i.e. old
buildings with complex cabling) an exact time for each department cannot
be given nor can a projected time for completing the upgrade. However,
every effort will be made to give a department advanced notice as to
when Network connectivity will be lost and an estimated time for
completion.

We apologies for any inconvenience caused. If you have any queries
please do not hesitate to contact Network Operations at UCL on
02076797350.

Please forward this message onto anyone who you believe may be affected
by this work.

Regards,

Network Operations
