LAtest ADL and AOM specifications
Dear all,
Due to CR-000110 passing a vote in the openEHR ARB
(http://www.openehr.org/about_openehr/t_arb.htm), the Archetype
Definition Language (ADL) document has had a major update. The Archetype
Object Model (AOM; a UML model of archetypes) has also been made
official in the specification repository. You can find these documents
at
http://www.openehr.org/repositories/spec-dev/latest/publishing/architecture/top.html
(see links in the green section).
The parse specification for the dADL part of ADL has changed quite a
bit. The openEHR tools will support both old and new dADL for some time
to come, however, not all of the language changes are yet incorporated
in the tools.
THe ADL specification is becomg quie mature, and we would expect only
minimal syntax changes going into the future. THe AOM document is
younger, but has been heavily reviewed, and comprises thinking from
tools developed by Ocean Informatics, the DSTC (dstc.edu.au), UCL and
others working in clinical and ontology projects around the world. The
AOM will continue to develop, so expect some changes into the future,
but not radical ones.
