First release of OpenEHR models
Dear all,
initial releases of the openEHR work have been posted at the openEHR
website, at http://www.openehr.org/doculist.htm. There are four
documents - three models, and a document called "Design Principles for
the EHR".
The model documents are:
- modelling guide (short, generalities of modelling used in openEHR)
- data types
- EHR reference model
The "Design Principles" document is a somewhat disorganised (at the
moment!) compendium of design ideas and background to the models. In
particular, it describes in detail the ontological and context model
approach.
These are all open to comment. Discussion lists available for this
purpose are:
mailto:openehr-technical@openehr.org (discussion for technical concepts,
including these models)
mailto:openehr-clinical@openehr.org (discussion for clinical concepts,
actual archetypes)
You can subscribe to these groups at http://www.openehr.org/advice/index.htm
(and discussion will no doubt occur on the OSHCA list server as well).
Coming soon:
- the archetype model for the EHR reference model
- fuller models of demographics and consent/access control
- online review forms for formal reviewing of models
- defined change control process for each openEHR deliverable
- source code for data types, reference model and archetype model
We hope you find this work useful.
regards,
- Thomas Beale, Sam Heard, Dipak Kalra, David Lloyd
